- RM (Manuel Ramirez) model classical concert guitar ▪ entirely handmade using the finest materials ▪ master grade cedar or split spruce soundboard ▪ rosewood, maple or Tasmanian acacia backs and sides ▪ handmade individual Spanish rosette ▪ cedar neck ▪ rosewood bridge and bindings ▪ ebony fingerboard ▪ bone nut and saddle ▪ Schaller tuning machines ▪ choice of scale between: 633 - 660mm ▪ French polish finish (Click to find out more about French polish) - Hand split spruce soundboards Because of the crucial tonal and structural function of the guitar soundboard, I have carefully selected tops for my classical concert guitars which have perfectly straight, finely spaced grain lines and which come from hand split logs. All woods are aged in my workshop a minimum of 5 or more years before being used for an instrument. Manuel Ramirez and the school of Madrid The RM classical guitar model owes its inspiration to the great Spanish maker Manuel Ramirez, active in Madrid in the early 1900s.(Click to read a short biography of Manuel Ramirez). This guitar is built very lightly with seven fan struts in an Antonio Torres, kite configuration; the body shape (plantilla) is classic in form and its decorative elements are simple and elegant. It has excellent playability with a low action, deep resonant basses and bright, solid trebles. - Gallery of images Image I ----------Image II----------Image III ----------Image IV ----------Image V |
